Currently working on a site for AutoLife TV

Here is a screenshot of the AutoLifeTV website design that I should be finishing up in the next week or so. I designed it all in flash and it'll look much more complete once it's up, animated, and interactive. (AutoLifeTV produces videos presenting a true perspective on the automotive culture and lifestyle. You can check out some of their videos on Vimeo)

HDR shots from the SD Zoo

Here are a couple HDR shots of two Sumatran Orangutans exhibited at the San Diego Zoo. Their hair, texture and the nature surroundings made for a decent HDR shot. There are a lot of good photography subjects at the Zoo, so it was pretty easy to come home with a lot of shots.

Brochure Design - 24/7 Affordable In-home Care

This is a brochure I recently designed for my family's in-home care service for the elderly. I made an effort to convey comfort and elegance through the photos and color scheme.

Program Design - A Musical Tribute to Ray Orias

Here's the program I designed for the Musical Tribute to Ray Orias to be held June 20, 2009. I tried to keep with the theme of a somber but at the same time an uplifting occasion, with the black and white photos and the color photo within it, along with the stained / aged paper look and feel.

Ray Tribute T-Shirt Design (Vector Illustration)

This is a vector illustration I did of my great friend Ray Orias who passed away last year.

The design is for the shirt that several former bandmates of Ray will be wearing during a tribute performance this March 29, 2009, as well as other performances in the future.

These images show how I went about doing the vector illustration from the original photo. I first edited the levels of the photo to come up with three different tones of the image. From there, I created paths for each of the different tones that I felt best brought out his facial features.

I had to keep in mind that this design was for a screen print, and so, it was important I layered the colors properly and separated each of the paths to go along with the 4 colors to be printed.

This was how I went about doing this particular illustration portrait, but it can definitely be done other ways. And even though I'm sure it's obvious, I should point out that I got the theme from Shepard Fairey's Obama / Obey image.

The t-shirt will be available for sale in the near future (all proceeds will go towards the Ray Orias Memorial Fund).
