Type Illustrations

I had an idea to do a series of illustrations using only type. I've seen this kind of work before and I think it's fun to do and also a limitless way to illustrate something. I also find it effective in getting a message (or messages) across. So I made sure to select words that the companies stood for, or in the case of the glass of wine, just words that wine connoisseurs might use.

A few things came to mind as to what I would illustrate, and I felt that I wanted to do something simple, yet unique enough to be described in many ways. So I decide to go with various beverage types/brands (I was also very thirsty at the time =).

Patterns

I'm designing a few patterns just for fun and here is one I did tonight fairly quickly:

Amani Rose Designs - LogoPackge

Here's another logo I'm working on for a small custom jewelry company called Amani Rose Designs. I tried to include a style of elegance and simplicity.

I did the initial sketches in 15 minutes or so and although I didn't use much of what I sketched, it was an important part of the process. I was able to get a few solid designs done in less than a couple of hours. I made edits and revisions the next day and this is what I came up with.

AutoLifeTV - LogoPackage

Here are some initial logo designs I've done for the production company AutoLifeTV. The website is almost completed but they are looking for a new, fresh, and more clean/legible logo that they could work with. Below is the initial sketch I did to gather my ideas. I've been working on completing this process more quickly and I'm definitely making progress. I did more of the concepts in illustrator but they came to my mind while sketching.

Currently working on a site for AutoLife TV

Here is a screenshot of the AutoLifeTV website design that I should be finishing up in the next week or so. I designed it all in flash and it'll look much more complete once it's up, animated, and interactive. (AutoLifeTV produces videos presenting a true perspective on the automotive culture and lifestyle. You can check out some of their videos on Vimeo)

GalleryDrive Web Banners

These are a couple of banners I designed for some friends of mine in the hip hop group Gallery Drive. The banners will be up on the website www.SphereOfHipHop.com. I can't wait to here their album!
